AI Upskilling Program

We built a 4 week, 8 hour, syncronous program that envolved the whole company, with over 350 employees trained on usage of AI. The course covered the basics of AI, it's risks and opportunities, and how to use it to improve our products and services.

Composed by 8 hours of lectures, held syncronously over 4 weeks, the course was designed to be a hands-on experience, with the students being able to build their own AI models and tools. Through the series of encounters we were able to cover a wide range of topics, from the basics of AI to hands on prompt engineering. The course also had a challenge at the end, prompting our employees to use their knowledge to over the course of 2 weeks to build a project and a prototype for an automated solution for a problem of their choice within the company.

The results of the program were overwhelmingly positive, with over 120 projects submitted to the company. Then, 10 of the best projects were shortlisted, and voted by the whole company. The 3 projects where then implemented and are now being used by the company, already improving our efficiency and productivity.

After the huge success of the program, we turned the lectures into onboarding material for new employees and in 2025 we'll have the first batch of updates related to the innovations observed in the AI field over the course of 2024. 2025 will also see the expansion of the program through a series of focused lectures, workshops and hackathons, aiming to turn Fluency as one of the first companies to have a fully upskilled workforce.
